Goals 4.21.12

Non Running

In the next 6 months, I hope to:

1) Achieve a better work-life balance:  by delegating more responsibility and empowering others to make decisions.

2) Reconnect with family and friends:  have at least one regular (weekly, every other week) activity other than running outside of work.

3) Fight the urge to have negative thoughts and display a positive attitude toward adversity.


In the next 12 months, I hope to:

1) Ramp up mileage slowly and responsibly to 45-50 mpw by late summer / early fall

2) Set a marathon PR

3) Run a 50K


It seems as if I found a relatively simple solution to my knee pain.

Other things that seem to be helping:

1) Shortening my stride
2) Taking every other day off
3) Stretching out my leg at work
4) More weight training
5) Fewer runs on rugged/rooted single track trails... (sad but true)

This AM's run... 6 miles on ATT... no music going out (just the sound of birds chirping), The National's High Violet on way back.
